Accessibility Statement

JOTEB is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings.

Conformance status

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This is the standard referenced by the European standard EN 301 549 and, in Israel, by IS 5568 under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility) Regulations.

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means most of the site meets the standard, and the specific exceptions we are aware of are listed below. Last reviewed: 9 September 2026.

What we have implemented

  • Keyboard navigation: The whole site can be operated without a mouse. Dialogs trap focus while open, close on Escape, and return focus to the control that opened them.
  • Skip to content: A skip link is the first focusable element on every page and moves focus directly into the main content region.
  • Reduced motion: The site respects your operating system’s “reduce motion” setting. When it is on, decorative animation and background effects are disabled.
  • Accessibility panel: A control in the bottom corner lets you increase text size, adjust line height and letter spacing, and enable a higher-contrast palette. Your preferences persist between visits.
  • Text alternatives: Images carry descriptive alternative text; purely decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Semantic structure: Pages use landmark regions, a single main heading and a logical heading order, so screen reader users can navigate by structure.
  • Forms: Fields have associated labels, errors are announced to assistive technology, and the first field in error receives focus.
  • Language and direction: Page language and text direction are declared and update correctly when you switch between left-to-right and right-to-left languages.

Known limitations

We are aware of the following and are working on them:

  • Third-party payment pages: Checkout hands off to PayPal. We do not control the accessibility of PayPal’s own screens.
  • Embedded content: Where content is embedded from an external service, its accessibility depends on that provider.
  • Older articles: Some earlier blog posts contain image content whose alternative text is less descriptive than our current standard. We are revising them.

Technical information

Accessibility of this site relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA. It has been assessed by internal review against the WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria, combined with automated testing and keyboard and screen reader walkthroughs.

The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers together with the assistive technology commonly used with them.
